Radiation burn
Radiodermatitis (radiation burn) can be a painful condition, and may occur up to 90 days after radiotherapy begins. A great way to minimise the effects from radiotherapy is to protect the skin.
How to use our Robin Relief product:
1-2 weeks before radiotherapy treatment starts
After showering, we recommend applying organic aloe vera gel, straight from the plant,to your breast.
After radiotherapy starts
Apply aloe vera gel to the breast tissue twice a day. Do not apply within one hour prior to radiotherapy treatment. Place the Radiation Relief fabric between the affected breast and your bra to help prevent friction and irritation to your burnt skin.
2-4 weeks after radiotherapy treatment finishes
Use the Radiation Relief wash cloth and salty water to dab gently around the nipple. Continue using aloe vera gel and your bra inserts.
